Actual bird pictures with id pointers: These help you to precisely identify a bird, help you focus on particular features of a birds anatomy which distinguish it from other species.

Habitats: tell you graphically in which habitat you are most likely to see a particular bird. This helps immensely in correct identification.

Distribution maps: which show where you are likely to spot a particular bird in the Indian sub-continent, including Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar & Sri Lanka. In addition, these maps are colour-coded to indicate whether the bird is a resident or its migratory status.

Basic information: provides you with most important information on the species in a nutshell.

Bird size indicators: help you in identifying a bird based on its approximate size as compared to 5 standard birds which are commonly seen & are graphically represented.

IUCN bird status: this helps you focus on rare & threatened birds.

Preferences: helps lessen the confusion over different names for the same species. One can select the nomenclature one prefers, from amongst the three most widely recognized: IOC, Clement’s & eBird. This selected nomenclature preferred by you will be used on your app. In addition, the other two will also be mentioned, along with a list of other alternate common names of the bird.

Vocalisation: to help you identify species by their calls is available (Courtesy
Xenocanto). You can listen to & refer to bird calls. The best part is you can download & listen to calls OFFLINE.
